Aura, HP and Twitter Pledge Support to Advance the Priorities of the Hispanic Community

The Hispanic Leadership Summit Convened more than 200 Regional Leaders and Influencers in San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 18, 2019 – The We Are All Human Foundation (WAAH), a non-profit dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion, closed Hispanic Heritage Month by hosting on the Hispanic Leadership Summit: San Francisco on October 17th where more than 10 companies, including Aura, HP and Twitter, signed the Hispanic Promise on stage.

The summit was devoted to discussing how technologies can help advance the Hispanic community as employees and consumers and identifying strategies and actions to unify and advance the priorities of the U.S. Hispanic community, such as access to education, financial advancement, workplace empowerment and perception change in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The summit took place at the Salesforce Tower and was the last of a series of regional gatherings in 2019 and leads up to the National Hispanic Leadership Summit on December 9th and 10th at the United Nations

Claudia Romo Edelman, Founder of WAAH, said that “it is essential for the tech industry to attract talent in the future, but it is equally essential for Hispanics to know how to make use of technology to advance our own future, particularly when it comes to education, finance, and perception. I am very pleased to know that we are closing Hispanic Heritage Month stronger than ever and with corporate America speaking up for this community in a much more substantive way that goes beyond food, music, and color as a celebration.”

“At the summit, Influential leaders and decision makers came together to share best practices, learn from one another, and show enthusiasm for the creation of opportunities for the Hispanic community in the tech industry and beyond, both in the Bay Area and around the country,” said Josue Estrada, EVP and Chief Operating Officer, Salesforce.org.
