We Are All Human Announces New Strategic Plan for 2023 with New Staff Members

Ana Saldarriaga from the World Economic Forum and Mariela Perez-Ralston, Former Social Media Director for Mexican Superstar Thalia join the organization

NEW YORK, NY – Oct 26th, 2022 – In the framework of their 5th anniversary, We Are All Human launches a new strategic plan that will focus on advancing inclusion to achieve equity and progress for all, with a particular focus on accelerating the progress of Hispanics in the United States.

The 2023 strategy will focus on three main pillars:

  1. Mobilizing and equipping Corporate America to engage genuinely with Hispanics as employees, community, and consumers
  2. Elevating Hispanics’ self-regard, identity, unity of purpose, and social recognition;
  3. Advancing the S (social) of the ESG agenda through DEI impact programs.

Ana Saldarriaga will act as Chief Operating Officer after working for the World Economic Forum as Deputy Head and Impact Strategy Lead of its Foundations, and as Global President of AIESEC International. With over 12 years of extensive leadership and operational experience mobilizing grass-root communities and creating global impact strategies, Ana brings strategic and operational expertise to the next phase of growth for We Are All Human. “As a Latina, working at an international scale has made me aware of how little the world knows about the needs of Latino and Hispanic communities, but also, the potential that will be unlocked once the world provides equal opportunities. Joining We Are All Human is an unparalleled opportunity to help strengthen the Latino community ecosystem and to advance inclusion to achieve equity and progress for all.”

Mariela Perez-Ralston is joining as the new Chief Brand Officer. She previously provided e-business marketing, communications strategy, and development initiatives to the globally recognized Mexican singer, actress, and entrepreneur, Thalia. Mariela has a background with 19+ years of experience managing online accounts and complex projects for A-list celebrity clients in the entertainment industry. “I strongly believe in diversity, equity, and inclusion, the core values promoted by We Are All Human and Hispanic Star. As a Latina, I am inspired by Claudia Romo Edelman’s mission and message. It is truly an honor to join her team and bring my branding expertise to this passionate group of individuals..”

In September, the We Are All Human Foundation contract with Nancy Santiago was terminated. By virtue of her departure, Ms Santiago no does not represent or cannot act on behalf of We Are All Human, Hispanic Star, Hispanic Star Hubs or any of our entities, initiatives, communities or work.

“Our team is energized and equipped for 2023. In a time of likely recession, it is a priority to strategize about how you are going to adapt to changing circumstances” said Founder and CEO of We Are All Human, Claudia Romo Edelman.  “For the next decade, Latinos will mean secular growth for companies because of our size and our youth. Therefore companies need to double down and have a very clear Latino strategy to be able to face challenging times and achieve growth.”

The launch of the 2023 strategy comes just prior to the final milestone events of the Foundation, the Hispanic Leadership Summit (Dec. 7 & 8) and the We Are All Human Gala (Dec. 8). The We Are All Human team invites everyone to come and support our efforts and the community coming together to pay tribute and celebrate the Hispanic Stars at our next We Are All Human Gala. The Co-Chairs of this event are the honorable Nina Garcia, Editor in Chief of Elle Magazine and Jury for Project Runway; Marissa Solis SVP Global Brand and Consumer Marketing Representing the NFL; Michael Kassan Chairman and CEO of MediaLink.They will be honoring extraordinary women like actress and entrepreneur Jessica Alba, businesswoman Joanna Peña-Bickley and a very special third surprise honoree.
