Sales Intern

Reports to: Client Leader

Full time position

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

Assist in ‘A Fair Shot Project’ launching

  • Attend meetings with client and take notes for follow up and next steps 
  • Use Salesforce tool (Inspire Planner) to track all tasks and follow ups
  • Support with planning and execution of client projects: 
    • Content development and alignment
    • Coordination of logistics and operations
    • Creation and leverage of promotional assets and social media calendar
    • Management of budget and expenses 
    • Follow up with hub leaders and third parties for event report 

Skills

  • Basic graphic design skills
  • Excel proficiency
  • Event planning and coordination experience
  • Project Management skills
  • Active listening and fast learner

Clients & Projects Intern

Reports to: Client Leader

Events Intern

Reports to: Program & Initiatives Director

Full time position

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Support in our event-related activities, including the Hispanic Leadership Summit, Hispanic Heritage Month and more! 
  • Support logistical tasks or vendor communications. 
  • Assist  in developing event content.

Skills

  • Preferred but not required: Experience with event management or coordination

Foundations Intern

Reports to: Foundations Coordinator

Part time position

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Foundations mapping
  • Research for Foundations mission and focus program to find matches with our projects and goals.
  • Keep an updated database of Foundations contacts
  • Keep an updated database of grant application dates

Management tool Implementation

Reports to: Project Manager

Part time position

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Organize and depurate Salesforce database
    • Manage and merge duplicates (contacts and accounts)
  • Get accurate and updated information 
  • Workout the Inspire Planner structure and assure all projects has it
  • Align all portfolios and projects

Media Intern

Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on media contacts to reach out and amplify our network. 
  • Build and maintain targeted media lists and track coverage for major stories. Management of databases in XLS spreadsheets
  • Assist the Media team with writing press materials and pitch letters. 
  • Work with the media team on review copy mailings and track publicity coverage
  • Assist with general research.

Wikimedia Intern

(From June to September 2021)

We are looking for a Wikimedia intern to facilitate partnership with Wikimedia in our Hispanic Heritage Month editathon. This project will support the increased visibility and representation of the Latino community and contributions throughout Wikipedia and engage with the broader community to activate in order to make this happen. This intern will be the direct touchpoint with the Wikipedia team, will manage the project activation (including logistical coordination, activation planning and misc. tasks as recommended by the Wikimedia team to ensure success). This intern will work hand in hand with the WAAH program director to collaborate with foundation resources and integrate the activation within the wider plans of Hispanic Heritage Month. 

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate existing content from partner institutions (i.e. datasets and digitized collections) keeping it relevant, fresh and engaging, including extending the reach of existing collections (especially media, data, and research) to new audiences via Wikimedia platforms, thus strengthening institutions’ mission to share their knowledge.
  • Supporting the development of digital skills and knowledge among volunteers, staff and other collaborators.
  • Helping institution staff to develop public communications and events showing the relevance of the institution’s collections within a broader public mission.
  • Facilitating Wikimedia collaborations with a wider community than the partner institutions.
  • Reporting: produce ongoing updates and a summary report on the outcomes  

Skills:

    • Experience or a demonstrated willingness to learn how to work with digital or online communities or with volunteer organizing.
    • Ability to learn and teach technical skills and community dynamics
    • Comfort and experience doing writing and research. 
    • Comfort with technology, and contributing to social media and online platforms. 
    • Digital communication across different communities
    • Experience in the Wikimedia Community is a plus  
    • Ability to communicate in English clearly, both verbally and in writing to a wide variety of audiences.
