Give funding, food, essential products, or PPE to local projects or organizations supporting Hispanics.
Thanks to a connection made through the Hispanic Star campaign and marketplace we were able to unite efforts from Hispanic Stars to support first responders and Hispanic families affected by the COVID19 pandemic that were at the National Children’s hospital in Washington, DC.
To honor World Hunger Day, observed on May 28th, and to support families that have been affected by the COVID19 pandemic the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation in partnership with Frito Lay showed solidarity with affected communities at the National Children’s Hospital in Washington, DC. Thousands of snacks were distributed to affected families and healthcare providers.
According to the United Nations, 14 million people in #LatinAmerica & the #Caribbean could be unable to meet their food needs due to today’s COVID19 pandemic. With the number of vulnerable people increasing daily, cross-sector partnerships like these help prevent hunger pandemic.
As a proud Hispanic Star Ambassador, it is more important than ever to partner to work collaboratively and impact positively our community.
